This sounds like such a great organization! I loved hearing also, about the unique ways people have come up with to donate.

Thank you for being a part of the 40 day fast!

thanks for writing about this topic.
after my little visit to Africa and seeing the water conditions such as you describe i cried for days...never really shaking the knowledge that i flush, wash clothes, shower, wash cars, wash dishes, water my lawn and flowers with more pure clean drinking water in ONE DAY than some villages see in a month.

i liked your quote of Bono's.
"freedom really does look like too many choices"
that hits me alot here in the US now.
    in just about every category.

i am happy to be a part of the 40 Day Fast & Blog...i am learning of so many great organizations to partner with to really make a difference in the world...in the name of Christ Jesus. :-)

    Kristin, Maryann, thanks.
    I'm happy to participate.

And yes, thinking about those statistics really does give one pause...and perspective.

I'm so excited to see other people promoting this organization! My church is actually partnering with charity: water this summer in an effort to build wells in Africa. It's part of a vision we're calling GLOCAL: a local church with a global influence.

Thanks so much for bringing charity: water to light!

Excellent, Excellent post. Well written, informative, interesting and inspiring. Great job. I've seen charity:water at a local coffee shop, but I always thought it was a gimmick of the coffee shop and that probably a miniscule percentage of the water actually went to help people.

Was I ever wrong. I love that it's such a simple way to make a difference.

Thanks for being a part of The 40 Day Fast and for such a well thought out post.
